Why is the caboose peeing in that nearby pond?
That's the Electron Transport Chain...it eventually hooks up with 02 and yields water. Let's go swimmin'! Meanwhile, hydrogen gets stuck inside the membrane, and ATP synthase acts as a proton channel, and at the same time uses that energy to reattach the extra phosphate to adenosine diphosphate to make adenosine triphosphate. It's just a big ass metabolic party.
I'll be done with this horse-hooey in 25 hours.
